About Trellis

A community for all kinds of artists to do all kinds of things.

Trellis is an artist-led creative and commercial space in Waynesboro, Virginia. Located in Suite 105c of the historic Virginia Metalcrafters Marketplace, our 1,800 square foot space includes a shared workshop alongside personal studios. Trellis’s public programs include classes, a small gallery and retail shop, and an art subscription mail club.

Trellis was founded in 2026 by Elizabeth Williams, Mak Lepage, Mercedes Campos-Lopez, and Nat Slater in response to the need for accessible, affordable spaces where Shenandoah Valley artists can connect and make work outside the home. We welcome artists (including children and families) at every stage of their creative journey and hope every member finds a sense of inspiration, joy, and belonging here.

Trellis supports artistic growth through shared materials, room to create, and a welcoming community. We provide pathways for artists to sell their work so their creative practice can be personally and materially sustaining.
